Our Practice’s History
Dr. Flanary is truly a local veterinarian. She has owned and operated the Flanary Veterinary Clinic since 1997. LaNita is a western Kentucky native through and through. She was born and raised on her family farm in Paducah and attended Farley Elementary School.
She went to Reidland Middle and High School where she graduated Valedictorian. She earned several scholarships which allowed her to complete a pre-vet curriculum at Murray State University. As a junior she was accepted to Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. LaNita graduated summa cum laude in 1995.
Dr. Flanary has had a love for all animals since she was a small child. “I don’t have children so my animals are my family” she said once to Family Magazine. Her caring heart is what sets her apart in this field.
Everyone wants their loved fur-baby treated like family, and Dr. Flanary gives them just that, she treats every animal that she sees like they are her own fur-baby.
When Dr. Flanary came out of vet school she wanted to create a more personalized care plan for all her patients, which range from dogs and cats, to birds and snakes, and even pot bellied pigs and goats. With all of this in mind, Dr. Flanary created a practice that focused on these core values. Using these high standards of care at the center of the practice, Dr. Flanary bought on a compassionate and professional team of individuals with a passion for providing pets with the highest quality veterinary medicine anywhere. We take pride in what we do and care about every client and patient that walks through our doors. We can’t wait to meet you and your furry family!
